101Pet was envisioned as a one-stop hub for pet adoption, designed to make the process of connecting shelters with adopters easier, faster, and more transparent. Beyond listings, the platform introduced real-time messaging, community forums, adoption events, and educational content. Project Challenges

Developing 101Pet required tackling a wide set of technical and functional challenges:

Multi-Role Functionality The platform needed to support three distinct user roles like shelters, adopters, and super admins, each with unique workflows. Ensuring these roles operated seamlessly within the same system required careful planning and robust architecture.

Pet Listing Management at Scale Shelters needed tools to create, update, and manage large volumes of pet listings with photos, videos, and medical details. Providing consistency across listings while keeping the interface user-friendly was a key challenge.

Real-Time Communication A central requirement was a secure conversation box that allowed adopters and shelters to interact in real time. The feature needed to support messaging, file sharing, and notifications while maintaining data privacy.

Advanced Search & Filtering Adopters required advanced filters such as age, breed, vaccination status, and special needs, so they could find the right pets quickly. Building a robust search mechanism across a large dataset was critical.

Community Engagement & Education The platform was designed to go beyond adoptions, offering forums, success stories, and educational resources. Building interactive spaces that encouraged community participation while maintaining moderation posed a challenge.
